Are you better protected against Covid-19 if you have antibodies built up in your blood?

Question from Hans: Is there any more medical research available that shows that you are better protected against Covid-19 if you have antibodies built up in your blood?

A: We have clear studies here that claim this, because deliberately re-infecting people would be unethical.
In animal studies, this has been demonstrated.

There are still no known cases of people who were really infected by an external source for a second time after having antibodies.

There are still no known cases of people where the antibodies have disappeared (6 months now).
However, we do not know how long these will remain.
In sars-cov-1, this was 3 to 5 years.
