Can I test MMA if I take melting tablets for B12?

Question from Gerdien: Does it make sense to test MMA if I am taking melting tablets for my Vitamin B12 deficiency?

Answer: you can supplement as much as you want, but if there is an absorption problem, MMA will still occur.
It will depend on how high the supplementation is whether enough does get into the cell, so MMA is certainly a measure of whether there is a long-term deficiency.
Otherwise HOLO TC to see if it is an early deficit.
