Can I have a NIPT test?

Question from Maaike: I have just been told by ultrasound that it will be twins.
Is the NIPT test still possible now?

Answer: The NIPT test is certainly possible for twin pregnancies, with the exception of gender determination.
In one-unit twins, the reliability is as high as in a one-unit pregnancy (99%).
In the case of two-egg twins, the reliability is several percent lower.
